This notice explains how your personal data is handled when you use this website or contact me through it. I take privacy seriously and only collect what I need to reply to you.

2. What data I collect
- Contact form / email: the details you choose to send — name, email, company/website, location, your message, and project preferences (industry, goals, timeline, budget, language).
- Usage analytics: aggregated, anonymous statistics (pages viewed, country, device type) via a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. No personal profiles and no cross-site tracking.
I do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to anyone.
3. Why I use it & legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal — legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- To understand site usage in aggregate and improve the site — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)); no cookies are set, so no consent banner is required.
4. Who processes it (sub-processors)
- Form delivery: Web3Forms — forwards your submission to my inbox.
- Email: my email provider, to receive and reply to messages.
- Analytics: Plausible Analytics (cookieless, EU-hosted).
Each processor only handles data to the extent needed to provide its service.
5. How long I keep it
Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting project, and for a reasonable period afterwards for legal and accounting purposes, then deleted. Aggregated analytics contain no personal data.
6. International transfers
I default to EU-based providers and EU data residency. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, it is done under appropriate safeguards (e.g. EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data; restrict or object to processing; and request data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@edkursiss.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Latvia, the Data State Inspectorate / Datu valsts inspekcija).
